Call for Nominations Underway for Top Security Executives in the
United States for the Information Security Executive of the Year National
Award 2005
ATLANTA, Ga., July 18, 2005 - Executive Alliance,
Inc., creator and provider of premium leadership-recognition programs,
has announced a Call for Nominations for the second annual Information
Security Executive of the Year National Award 2005 (ISE National Award
2005.) The company also announced Symantec Corp. (NASDAQ: SYMC,) has
become the Award's first Terabyte Sponsor, a new sponsorship level of
the ISE National Award 2005.
Nomination forms for ISE National Award 2005 are currently available
at www.infosecaward.com and will be accepted through Friday,
August 19, 2005. The ISE National Award 2005 winner
will be named at a gala evening event on Monday,
November 14, 2005, held in conjunction with CSI's
32nd annual Computer Security Conference and Exhibition at the
Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington,
DC.
Founded to recognize the innovators who have made a contribution to
the information security industry as well as to their companies and
organizations, ISE National Award nominations are cultivated from security
executives in all private and public companies including government
agencies and academic institutions. Nominees are evaluated by a distinguished
and discerning panel of industry experts and practitioners, some of
whom are past ISE nominees and winners.

Nominee Criteria
The Information Security Executive of the Year is defined as a leader
who guides the effective use of information/Internet/network security
to improve his or her company's cyber security posture while proactively
implementing security technology and processes. This person can be a
CSO, CISO, CTO, CIO, vice president, director or manager from IT, networking
or security departments, but cannot be a network security vendor or
service provider. Other defining attributes of the Information Security
Executive include the following:
- Member of management.
- Responsible for information security performance as well as tactical
security and business decisions.
- Promotes a security vision that supports the organization's strategy.
- Proven track record of information security leadership.
- Employed by a business or oversees the security infrastructure of
a subsidiary that is located in the United States of America.
- Creates a work environment that is positive and rewarding to employees.
- Nominees are asked to attend the awards reception and gala on the
evening of November 14, 2005 at the
Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington,
DC.
- Nominations must be received by Friday, August
19, 2005 via email to isenational@infosecaward.com.
