The Official Call for Nominations for the Fourth Annual
Information Security Executive (ISE) of the Year National Award™ 2007 is Now Open
Information Security Execs from across the US to Confer during Computer Security Institute (CSI) Executive Retreat

ATLANTA - May 25, 2007- Executive Alliance, creator and provider of premium leadership-recognition forums, announced today the Call for Nominations is now underway for the fourth annual Information Security Executive (ISE) of the Year National Award 2007. Nomination forms for this prestigious award are currently available at www.infosecaward.com and will be accepted through Thursday, August 23, 2007. The winner will be announced at a gala awards ceremony which is to be the anchor event of the CSI Executive Retreat Featuring the ISE National Awards at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City Hotel in Washington, DC.
The ISE National Award will be presented to a chief security officer or an executive in an equivalent position who demonstrates outstanding leadership and has overall responsibility for risk management, data asset protection, regulatory compliance, privacy and/or information/network security.
ISE National Award nominations are encouraged from security executives in all private and public companies, as well as government agencies and academic institutions throughout the United States. These nominees will be evaluated by a distinguished panel of industry experts and past ISE nominees and winners to determine five finalists and a winner.
Award Criteria
The Information Security Executive (ISE) of the Year is defined as a leader who guides the company's risk management, data asset protection, privacy and network security efforts to improve the enterprise cyber security posture while proactively implementing security technology and processes. This person can be a CSO, CISO, CTO, CIO, vice president, or director from IT, networking or security departments, but cannot be an information security vendor or services provider. Other characteristics of the Information Security Executive should include the following:
- Primarily responsible for the risk management, data asset protection, regulatory compliance, privacy and/or information/network security performance of the company or organization
- Promotes a risk management and security vision that supports the organization's strategy
- Member of management (director level or above)
- Proven track record of information security leadership
- Maintains residence in and employed by a business or oversees the security infrastructure of a subsidiary that is located in the United States
- Creates work environments that are positive and rewarding to employees
- Nominees are encouraged and Finalists are requested to attend the awards reception and gala on the evening of Monday, November 5, 2007, at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City Hotel in Washington, DC.
The Awards Gala and Ceremony are part of a three day program of events which will be produced alongside the CSI 34th Annual Computer Security Conference and Exhibition. Comprised of interactive forums, panel discussions and networking events, the CSI Executive Retreat Featuring the ISE National Awards will be a compelling event for the leaders of the industry.
