Nominations for the Information Security Executive (ISE) Southeast Awards 2008
The ISE Southeast Awards 2008 recognizes the individuals who have demonstrated outstanding leadership in the field of information security. The Information Security Executive (ISE) of the Year Southeast Award Winner is defined as a leader who guides the company's risk management, data asset protection, privacy and network security efforts to improve their organization's cyber security posture while proactively implementing security technology and processes.
The ISE Southeast Awards Gala, a component of the two day Executive Alliance Leadership Summit, is the premiere forum to showcase all qualified nominees' achievements as well as those of his/her organization. Nominees and their organizations will gain visibility both personally and professionally as leaders in the information security industry through Executive Alliance's media partnership with InformationWeek magazine, press releases and speaking opportunities.

Information Security Executive of the Year Southeast Award Requirements
The
Information Security Executive of the Year Award
honors the individual who has made the greatest positive impact on his or her organization through risk management, enterprise data assets and privacy protection and information security. Nominees should be responsible for managing internal security organizations, mentoring and motivating staff members, developing innovative security solutions to business challenges and effectively managing and executing security strategies.
The Information Security Executive of the Year is defined as a leader who guides the effective use of information security and risk management to improve his or her company's information security posture while proactively implementing security technology and processes. Nominees can be a CSO, CISO, CTO, CIO, vice president, director or manager from IT, networking or security departments. Nominees cannot be an information security vendor or information security services provider. Other characteristics of the Information Security Executive of the Year Award nominee include the following:
- Must be primarily responsible for risk management, data asset protection, regulatory compliance, privacy and/or information/network security performance of the company or organization
- Promotes a risk management and security vision that supports the organization's strategy
- Must be a member of management
- Must have a proven track record of information security leadership
- Must reside primarily and be employed by a business or oversee the security infrastructure of a subsidiary that is located in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee
- Creates work environments that are positive and rewarding to employees
- As all nominees will be recognized at the Awards Gala and during the two day Executive Alliance Leadership Summit, nominees are requested to attend the entire program from March 13th - 14th, 2008 in Atlanta, Georgia.
All nominees and their teams are invited to attend complimentary the Summit and Awards
All nomination forms must be received by 5pm EST, Wednesday, January 23, 2008 by email to isesoutheast@infosecaward.com. All nomination forms must be completed in their entirety to be considered by the Judges. The ISE Southeast Judges, an independent body of information security executives, will make the final decision on whether a nominee
submitted
is qualified to participate in the ISE Southeast Awards.
